Great success for the CIVIS doctoral webinar series on the challenges of digital and technological transformations Great success for the CIVIS doctoral webinar series on the challenges of digital and technological transformations ==================================================================================================================== Study programmes 27 de febrero de 2024 CIVIS Hub 5, focused on [Digital and Technological transformation](https://civis.eu/es/discover-civis-alliance/our-work/our-hubs/hub-5-digital-and-technological-transformation), has launched a [series of webinars](https://civis.eu/en/learn/civis-courses/social-challenges-of-digital-and-technological-transformations-from-the-laboratory-desk-to-life) coordinated by Universidad Autónoma de Madrid that are open to doctoral/postgraduate students from all universities of the CIVIS Alliance. This initiative promises to bring participants "from the lab to life" and aims to analyse the social challenges of digital and technological transformations. Professors from the universities of Glasgow, Salzburg, Rome, Bucharest, Brussels and Stockholm lead the webinar series along with specialists from the Institute of Fundamental Physics of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium. The first session on oncology on Digital Era which took place last Friday, 23rd February 2024, proved to be a great success, with approximately 30 participants from CIVIS. An invitation to join the next sessions --------------------------------------- The second session, *Nature-inspired technological transformation*, will take place on March 15th from 10.00 to 11.30 (CET) and will be led by the professor Fabienne Michelini, in conversation with the PhD Josene Maria Toldo, both from Aix-Marseille University.
